Today we started our tour. To say I was excited would be an under statement. I woke up at 4:30 am - called Yvonne to wish her happy Mothers Day. We left the hotel at 7:15 am. Rode to the ocean, dipped our rear wheel in the Pacific, took a grpup picture and left for Boston!!
Then we were off for the ride today. We had a cool morning start and then the sun came out to warm us up in the afternoon. We had a nice tail wind today during part of our ride. We enjoyed riding on the Santa Ana River Bike Trail down close to the river, the freeway to our right and the mountains in the distance. We arrived at our hotel around 2:30 pm surprisingly feeling pretty good but glad to get showered do some relaxing and hydrating for tomorrow. We are looking forward to tomorrow as we prepare for the desert on the 3rd day.
