Toto, I don't think we are in Kansas any longer. Today we are in Missouri, our sixth state line crossing.
Well as I had hoped, the tail winds kicked in big time today - 15 to 30 mph on my back all the way!!! Man did I fly, was it fun. I went 86 miles in 4 hours and 40 minutes. I stopped for lunch along the way. Total travel time was 5 hours 15 minutes, I was at the hotel at 12:15 pm.
The humidity at 74% is now noticeable and it is getting warmer - just my kind of weather.
We have been told that the roads in Missouri are pretty bad and so far, just 25 miles into the state, and I would have to agree. Kansas' roads overall are great, so a little bad mixed in for the next three days should make it interesting.
Another day of SSW winds are predicted for tomorrow. We are headed NE so watch out pot holes, don't stop me now.

Did you find a pretty, little place to retire to? The blowing grasses and mountains in the background looked like a neat place to be. Keep pedaling - MD isn't too far from MO or is it?
Hi Tom, been following your trek through Judy's email. Glad you are having fun. I am also glad your crash was not any worse. I know what that feels like! Take care and have a great ride. mary ellen
