Just the stats: 95 miles, 13.4 MPH average. Started riding at 7:30 am, finished at 3:35 pm - 7 hours 17 minutes riding time. Sunny, cool with sunny blue skies, 42 to 76 degrees. Calories burned on the ride - 5,964.
Not your normal Sunday ride in the park. This was a very hard riding day, for sure in my top five hardest days. Usually our hard climbing days are in the 60 to 65 mile range. 95 miles is really far, throw in the huge climbs over the mountains and you get survival mode. I planned to get through around 4 pm and I made it by 3:35 pm. I was on empty when I got to the hotel. I ate breakfast, had five gels and two energy bars and a lot of Perpetuem energy drink. So, I ate at 4pm and again at 6:30pm.
I'm going to keep this blog short tonight because I have a lot to do to get ready for tomorrow and I would like to get to bed by 9pm.

Well Done Tom.
Tom,
Looks like you are having a great time but I thought your spine looked a little crooked in the one picture--let me know and I'lljump on my bike to adjust you.
