Day 3 -- St Dider to Avrille - 72 miles

Another beautiful sunny day today. 48* in the morning, by 9 am it is around 56*, it got up to about 80* again today. We started riding around 9:15 am and finished by about 4 pm. Riding time was four hours again, my average speed was 14.1 mph. We rode on mostly flat or slightly rolling terrain today. The countryside looks a lot like Carroll County, MD, just less hilly. My max speed today was 34 mph, so no big down hills (or up hills!) today.

We ride with small GPS units on our bikes with each days map on the screen. We just stay on the purple line and all is well.  With all that said, I still got off course a few times and had to backtrack.  I rode alone most of the day.  We had road construction and rough patches we had to walk through, that is why the speed is down.

So here are some pictures for you to enjoy and I am off to bed.

If you want to see a larger picture, just click on the picture, it comes up larger in another view.

These apples were growing along the road from a garden, within reach, the apple was great!

Yes, Sunflowers - Where are the birds?

More Sunflowers.
