Day 4 - Avrille - Montsoreau 63 Miles / 100 Km.

Just the stats: 63 miles, 14.8 MPH average. Started riding at 9:15 am, finished at 3 pm – 4 hours 10 minutes riding time. Sunny, 58 to 81 degrees.

Calories burned on the ride - 3,930. My average heart rate during this ride was 133 bpm.
This morning we followed along the Loire River – France’s longest river at over 1,000 km. We rode along mostly quiet lanes, going upstream all day.  Riding along the river is mostly flat riding.  Along the banks of the Loire we passed our first vineyards of the trip.
France is a beautiful country.  I could have taken a 1,000 pictures.  From the old stone houses, the churches in every town or village, the farmland, the forests, the river views, the children playing, everything I saw could have been a picture.
So here is a sample of what I saw:

This is the bike I am riding

This is the first vineyard I saw.  I am sure there will be many more to come.

Another long meal again tonight,  When will I ever learn?
That's it for now.  It is after 10 pm here and I am off to bed.  Tomorrow is another day.
