Just the stats: 56 miles, 13.2 MPH average. Four hours fifteen minutes of riding time. I only stopped for a total of 35 minutes the whole day. Sunny, 65 to 80 degrees. Elevation 884 feet. We climbed 3,988 feet and descended 3,820 feet.
Calories burned on the ride - 3,534. My average heart rate during this ride was 126 bpm.
Today I decided to roll
and skip coffee. I missed the turn for
lunch so I rolled on to the hotel, getting in at 2:30 pm; my kind of
riding. Because of the hills and
headwinds, my average speed was a little slower.
I
rode alone most of the day today, which was fine with me. The ride today followed the River Vienne due
south, again into headwinds most of the day – winds were slightly stronger
today. There were more hills of ½ to 2
miles long with 3% to 6% grades. On the
flip side, the down hills were just as long.
My max speed today was 34.6 mph. After
lunch there were more ups and downs, not bad, I rode through St Mathieu before arriving
in the village of Augignac.
Since I posted so many pictures yesterday, today it's just this.
